Katy Perry(凯蒂·派瑞)出生于1984年10月25日,加州圣巴巴拉.由于生活在一个基督徒家庭.因此小Perry很少向其他小孩子一样听一些所谓的世俗音乐,长大的Perry疯狂着迷于Alanis Morissette和Freddie Mercury,但宗教音乐依然情有独钟.于是,当时年仅16岁的Perry在2001年以Katy Hudson这个名字在Red Hill Records发行的一张基督徒唱片.之后,Perry的曲风也慢慢倾向于流行音乐.
